Successful Radio advertising requires great people and deep resources. Lakes Media Network has made significant investments in training and resources, including:
National Association of Broadcasters (“NAB”) Membership
The NAB is the chief advocate for the radio and television industry, educating members of Congress, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Administration on how legislation and regulations affect the broadcasting business. NAB membership also provides Lakes Media Network with access to key industry events and training seminars. Lakes Media Network President Tom Birch is a member of the Committee On Local Radio Audience Measurement (COLRAM), the NAB’s liaison with Nielsen, and other audience measurement services.
Radio Advertising Bureau (“RAB”) Membership
The RAB provides important tools that can be used on a day-in, day-out basis by Lakes Media Network Account Managers. Each day, Lakes Media Network sales executives use cloud-based RAB Customer Relationship Management software to track sales calls, orders and presentation activity. The RAB also provides extensive online access to national market and media research reports as well as best-practices advertising and promotional tactics and strategies.
Virginia Association of Broadcasters (“VAB”) Membership
VAB membership enables Lakes Media Network to work with other broadcasters to promote the benefits of Radio to listeners and advertisers and the VAB represents Radio broadcasters in dealing with state and federal regulators. The VAB provides powerful tools to member stations such as training programs, job postings, and regulatory updates.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics provides Lakes Media Network with important metrics on the reach, frequency, and behavior of persons visiting Lakes Media Network websites.
Triton, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, TuneGenie
All Lakes Media Network stations simulcast 100% of their music programming online on the unique TuneGenie player and on all mobile devices on the TuneIn and iHeartRadio Apps. TuneGenie provides listeners the capability to access last songs played by day, hour and month. Titles, artists, and album artwork are displayed for each song, and listeners can download and share music. The TuneIn app enables listeners to pause, rewind, and fast forward through programming. Triton provides detailed real-time metrics of the online and app audiences.
