UNSUNG, TV One’s critically-acclaimed series, is set to make its return this year highlighting the careers of Bobby V, Syleena Johnson, Leela James, gospel singer Hezekiah Walker and more.
The new season begins with exploring the personal life and music career of 80’s recording artist and performer Morris Day. “Whatever you do it’s got to be funky,” says Day in the series trailer.
UNSUNG takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes look at the personal life and career of musical legends like never before. The series celebrates artists “who, despite great talent, have been under-appreciated or under-recognized,” according to a press release.
This season will also document the highs and lows of artists like Lyfe Jennings and Mystikal through first-hand accounts, interviews with family and friends, and archival video footage.
Other episodes will celebrate “Kissing You” singer Keith Washington and The Jones Girls, the legendary singing group behind hits like, “You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else,” and “Who Can I Run To,” which was sampled by 90’s group Xscape.
UNSUNG returns Sunday, March 21 at 9 p.m. ET on TV One.
