Cardi B is saying what’s “Up” to Taylor Swift. Thanks to the rapper’s new single, “Up” has placed Cardi atop Billboard‘s Streaming Song’s chart, where she is tied for the female act with most weeks spent at the top.
Nothing an additional 31.2 million streams over the past week, the “WAP” rapper has topped that particular chart four times — tying with Taylor Swift for being the female artist with the most weeks at number one.
Not only that, she now joins a four-way tie at the top, now vying with Justin Bieber and Travis Scott — who have the second most number ones among artists.
Drake remains the act to beat, notching nine number ones throughout the streaming chart’s eight-year history.
The Grammy-winning rapper’s previous chart-toppers were 2017’s “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” followed by her 2018 “Finesse” collab with Bruno Mars, then lastly by her monster hit “WAP” with Megan thee Stallion, which ruled the chart for 10 weeks.
“Up” also dethroned Olivia Rodrigo‘s hit “Drivers License,” which previously ruled the Streaming Songs chart. As for whether or not “Up” can dethrone “Drivers License” on the Hot 100 chart, which has remained at number one for five consecutive weeks — will have to be seen.
“Up” is currently number two on the Hot 100.
